“A new arrival…”

The birth of Alexander Astley James on 15 May 2002 is definately something worth mentioning although not strictly business.

After finding out in November 2001 that I was 16 weeks pregnant it certainly focussed our attention on the essential things in life.

The birth itself was quick (4 hours) from first contraction to holding our baby. The fact that it was a boy took us by surprise as well- we were convinced it would be a little girl! Initially we didn’t even have a name for him.

Alexander is now a happy little person, and we are delighting in getting to know him.
